Michigan Youth Trombone Ensemble

The Michigan Youth Trombone Ensemble (MYTE), under the direction of Professor David Jackson, provides students advanced experience in performing a variety of trombone ensemble repertoire. Due to restrictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, MYTE will be moving online for the 2020-21 Season!

Previously known as the Ann Arbor Trombone Choir, students will work with current U-M graduate and undergraduate trombone students of Prof. David Jackson to strengthen their overall musicianship, learn new repertoire, and participate in collaborative music making through weekly virtual rehearsals.

MYTE is open to high-school aged trombonists, and is recommended for students who are generally in upper high school grades with two to four years of musical experience.

U-M Faculty Director: Professor David Jackson

Rehearsal Time: Sundays, 7:00 – 8:30 PM
Rehearsal Location: Online via Zoom meeting (accessible via the MYTE Course on Canvas).
