Graduate student Yumiao Mai performs a recital, presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree Master of Music, using the SMTD’s Viennese style fortepiano by Paul McNulty, and the 1866 Erard piano from the Stearns Collection of Musical Instruments. The program features all music by women composers: Marianna Auenbrugger, Marianne Von Martinez, Josepha Auernhammer, Cecile Chaminade, Sophie Menter, Lili Boulanger, and Clara Schumann. Part of the Erard Piano Festival (March 18-20, 2024).

It will offer opportunities for students and for pianists and piano teachers from the community to try out their Brahms on the Erard. Part of the Erard Piano Festival (March 18-20, 2024) – a series of performances featuring the 1866 Erard piano from the Stearns Collection of Musical Instruments.
