Bio
Abigail Jiyoung Choi (she/her) is an academic advisor for the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. She serves as a resource for SMTD undergraduate and non-Rackham graduate students in the disciplines of Music, Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Dance, as well as non-SMTD students who are interested in SMTD minors or majors. Abigail is passionate about building relationships with students, and approaching advising from a compassionate and inclusive perspective. She is an active member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Advising Practice (DEIAP) Committee of the Advising Council of the University of Michigan.
Prior to joining SMTD, Abigail provided support to the musicians, teaching artists, and students of performing arts organizations such as Music@Menlo, Mainly Mozart, the San Diego Symphony, and the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts. She is an alumna of the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.
