For six years, Mike Sulecki (MM ’21, music education) has taught band for grades 6–12 in Portland, Michigan. Drawing from curriculum design work at U-M and years of planning, he is proud to launch a 7th–8th grade jazz band and a 9th–12th grade jazz band, both offered during the school day as full elective classes.
