Bio

Prior to immigrating to the U.S. Sarah-Jane Gwillim worked extensively in British television and repertory theatre. She numbers among her roles St. Joan, Isabella in Measure for Measure opposite John Neville, Alithea in The Country Wife with Dame Judi Dench, and, on television, leading roles opposite Glenda Jackson, Timothy Dalton, and Malcolm McDowell. In the U.S. she has performed both on and off Broadway and at regional theatres including the Goodman, Cincinnati Playhouse, McCarter, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Hartford Stage Company, and both the Stratford and California Shakespeare festivals. She has also appeared in concert and made dramatic recordings with Cyril Richard and George Rose.
