The following degree programs are administered through the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies and fall under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Foreign Language Requirement:
Pre-candidates must demonstrate pronunciation proficiency in French, German, Italian, English, Spanish, and Latin.They must demonstrate knowledge of the International Phonetic Alphabet.They must demonstrate translation competence (with reference materials) in French, German, Italian, and English. Testing will be done within the Piano Department.

Pedagogy Requirement – Music Education 595 (Practicum in Teaching) or Percussion 519 (2 credit hours)
