Masters Degrees

Students will follow the curriculum of the year for which they were admitted to the program. Should requirements change in any given year, students complete either the curriculum under which they were admitted in its entirety, or the new curriculum in its entirety, but not a combination of both.

Pursuing Two Graduate Degrees Concurrently

A student pursuing two masters degrees in the SMTD simultaneously must satisfy all requirements for both degrees, as if each program were being pursued independently. Up to 10 credit hours may be double-counted between the two degrees.

Master of Arts in Composition

This program is administered through the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies and falls under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.
