The James Walgreen Organ
Community Room, School of Public Health
The James Walgreen Organ at the University of Michigan was acquired in 1994 through a generous gift from James Walgreen in honor of his parents, Charles and Jean Walgreen. In 2007, the organ was placed in the newly-created Community Room of the School of Public Health. It serves as the focus for an ongoing series of solo organ and chamber music concerts, and is also available for teaching and student practice.
Recordings on the Létourneau organ at the School of Public Health by students of Prof. James Kibbie are included in the Jehan Alain Centennial Recordings.
