Each year, the School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD) Friends of Opera – those who support the Department of Voice through annual giving – holds the Friends of Opera Competition, awarding three prizes to vocal performance students in each of two categories: the John Knapp Undergraduate Award and the Anna Chapekis Graduate Award.
The Friends of Opera recently announced the winners of the 2022 competition:
