Bio
Melynee (Lyn) Weber-Lynch manages all aspects of the SMTD-Rackham students’ experience; approves and sends out admission offers, coordinates all aspects of their funding, and manages the SMTD-Rackham side of degree requirements (including advising and degree audits). Together with the Associate Dean, Lyn approves and manages all GSA appointments for both Rackham and non-Rackham SMTD students, as well as all lecturer and guest artist appointments. The Faculty Council on Graduate Studies (FCGS), which handles all graduate course administration and graduate degree policies and requirements also resides in the Graduate Studies office.
As a professional actress and member of the Actor’s Equity Association, Lyn has appeared on various stages in and around Southeast Michigan, Cleveland, Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts, as well as served as a dialect coach. She has worked as a lecturer at the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University, teaching voice and articulation. She received her MFA from CWRU/Cleveland Play House, and has served as an instructor with the U-M MPulse Theatre & Drama Academy.
