Community Partnerships
SMTD Community Programs partnerships are individually crafted and co-authored with partnering organizations. Mutually beneficial projects support organization capacity-building as well as the personal and professional growth of SMTD students. Our programs honor our community partners as experts on their own needs and experiences and we draw upon our partners’ strengths to enrich the experience of all participants.
Community Programs staff collaborate with partnering organizations, U-M centers and departments, and SMTD faculty and staff to provide training for SMTD students on a wide range of relevant topics. Strong relationships allow us to share ideas and leverage existing resources toward transforming communities and contributing to the greater public good.
