Media Coverage of the MMB at the Rose Bowl and College Football National Championship

Jan 10, 2024 | Bands, Communications, News, Students

For so many of the pivotal moments of this extraordinary season of U-M football, the Michigan Marching Band has provided the soundtrack, kicking off games before the kickoff, entertaining the crowd during halftime, and playing “The Victors” more times than anyone can count.

When the team traveled to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl, student band members, faculty, and staff also headed west, playing for hundreds of thousands of spectators in the Rose Bowl Parade in addition to performing at the game itself. And when the team headed to Houston for the CFP National Championship, the band was there, playing the Wolverines’ iconic fight song and so much more as the team charged into the record books, the 2024 national champions.
