Jazz Ensemble performs with Regina Carter at Detroit Jazz Fest

The University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble, led by Professor Ellen Rowe, performs at the Detroit Jazz Festival on Monday, September 3 at 12:45 pm. Performing a tribute to former SMTD jazz professor Geri Allen, who died last year, the Jazz Ensemble will be joined by celebrated Detroit bassist Marion Hayden, an SMTD lecturer, and world-renowned jazz violinist Regina Carter, a MacArthur Fellowship recipient.
