NewBassoon Institute: “In C” and “Rushes”

Join us for a performance in the Soderquist Atrium at the Moore Building’s Brehm Pavilion. Faculty and Fellows of the NewBassoon Institute perform two iconic works for multiple bassoons: Terry Riley’s In C and Michael Gordon’s Rushes for seven bassoons.

Hosted each summer at SMTD, the NewBassoon Institute is a week-long workshop on contemporary bassoon literature, performance techniques, and pedagogy designed for college students and beyond.
