The NewBassoon Institute presents a recital of its faculty that is free and open to the public. Featuring bassoonists Rachael Elliott, Michael Harley, Lynn Hileman, Jeffrey Lyman with Liz Ames, piano.

Music by Hans Eric Apostel, Chiel Meijering, Tawnie Olson, Isang Yun, Sofia Gubaidulina, Elliott Carter, and Caleb Burhans.

Hosted each summer at SMTD, the NewBassoon Institute is a week-long workshop on contemporary bassoon literature, performance techniques, and pedagogy designed for college students and beyond.
