Bio

Hailing originally from the Chicago area, Kate Johnson is a production manager, stage manager, and organizational arts management consultant whose multidisciplinary career has included opera, theatre, musical theatre, cabarets, concerts, special events, and various lecture series. With a strong background in acting, classical voice, and orchestral cello, she found herself drawn to big picture ideas and fine tuning the moving pieces of a given production, always seeking to improve upon the existing model.

In her professional career, her focus has predominantly been Stage Management and Production Management. Her passion for all things arts and performance piloted the way to a number of exciting projects with various arts organizations including Boston Lyric Opera, Shakespeare & Company, The Berkshire Theatre Group, Americana Theatre Company, Moonbox Productions, and Central Square Theatre (MA), Hubbard Hall Center for the Arts and Education (NY), The Winnipesaukee Playhouse (NH), Lost Nation Theatre (VT), Moraine Valley Community College (IL), The Cumberland County Playhouse (TN), and Resonance Works (PA). 

Ms. Johnson earned her BA in Theatre & Drama (Stage Management Emphasis) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds Certificates in Project Management and Project Leadership from Cornell.
