Scholarship and Financial Aid Program Manager


Bio

Ann Wank is the Scholarship and Financial Aid Program Manager for the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. She is the point person for scholarship and financial aid questions from applicants, faculty and staff and supports the merit based and need based financial aid process. She manages scholarship budgets and provides analysis and projections to SMTD stakeholders.

Ann graduated from Purdue University and has held leadership roles at Wilson Sporting Goods Company and Reebok International. After her corporate life, Ann owned and operated a successful small business in the Chicagoland area and is adept at managing a multitude of diverse tasks. 

Ann is a native Michigander and came back to the state in 2018. Her path to SMTD came via the Office of Financial Aid at the University of Michigan where she worked as a Senior Aid Officer for 4.5 years. Her expertise spans the areas of advising, eligibility and student financial wellness. She is excited to bring her financial aid background and experience to the Office of Admissions and to be a member of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, & Dance staff.

Ann has served on the parent boards for the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, The Music Institute of Chicago, and The Chicago Youth Symphony. She continues to enjoy listening to her daughters play music and is an avid supporter of Arts Education in schools.
