Guest artist and Baroque oboist Caroline Giassi joins the Baroque Chamber Orchestra for a performance of works from England, France, and Italy from the 16th to the 18th centuries. She will be joined by SMTD undergraduate bassoonist Benjamin Weppler in one of Vivaldi’s concerti for oboe and bassoon. As a part of the ensemble’s study of improvisation and ornamentation this semester, the orchestra will present an improvised accompaniment to the second movement of this concerto.

The Department of Dance presents Vigilant Ground, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance concert at the Performance Studio Theatre. Tickets are free and will be available at the door an hour before the start time. The concert features choreography and performance by graduating seniors Paige Ashley, Anastasia Bredikhina, Annie Laforet, Madison Rogers, & Mya Waple, and lighting by Robert Farr-Jones. Livestream will be available on Friday, November 22 & Saturday, November 23.

“O Radiant Dawn” – This concert features two SMTD choral ensembles performing an international sacred music program by composers such as Zoltàn Kodaly, Ottorino Respighi, Morten Lauridsen, William Albright and others. Conducted by Reed Criddle (DMA ‘11), Eugene Rogers, and graduate choral conductors.
