Stephen Thomas (DMA ’97, piano pedagogy & performance), coordinator of keyboard studies at Brigham Young University – Idaho, recently spent a sabbatical leave preparing the complete Chopin nocturne cycle for a series of four lecture recitals. The series also featured modern nocturnes, including two written expressly for Thomas by composers Deborah Kavasch and John Marvin. (Fall 2025)
