Gal Young ’Un, an opera by librettist Ann McCutchan (MM ’76, clarinet) and composer Mark Alan Taggart, was premiered by the East Carolina University Opera Theater in April 2025. McCutchan also co-leads the oral history component of Come Hell or High Water, a community memory project in western North Carolina.
