Sharon Lowen (MA ’73, dance) is a renowned exponent of Odissi, Mayurbhanj Chhau, and Manipuri Indian classical dance genres. Her 75th birthday was celebrated with a festival titled “A Life in Dance,” organized in her honor. Recent work includes a residency and performance in Bangladesh, and her latest book is Shringara in Classical Indian Dance. (Fall 2025)
