Following two years teaching middle and high school band, Liam Jackson (BM ’18, bassoon, music education) performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra this season as a substitute bassoonist and contrabassoonist, including Leonard Bernstein’s Symphony no. 3 Kaddish recorded for PBS’s Great Performances, and was also a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago through June 2023.
