Michael Djupstrom (BM ’02, MA ’05, composition) returned to the artist residency program at MacDowell in spring 2025, where he worked on an orchestral piece. His first MacDowell residency resulted in his String Quartet No. 2, Romanian, in 2017. Two of Djupstrom’s works are featured as part of the Curtis Institute of Music’s “100 for 100” project.
