John Mortensen (BMA ’88, piano) has joined the faculty at the Curtis Institute of Music, where he teaches historical improvisation. He recently performed an improvised piano concert, taught improvisation workshops, and delivered a keynote address at the conference Partimento: Realizing Its Potential, held in Vienna in November 2024.
