In 2024, Emily Lyon (BFA ’13, theatre & drama: directing) directed a world premiere production of Diana Ly’s Sex and the Abbey at the Brick Theater in Brooklyn. The play aligns with the mission of Expand the Canon, which Lyon runs, working to celebrate and unearth under-appreciated plays by historic women and non-binary writers.
