In addition to two international conference appearances in 2024, John Mortensen (BMA ’88, piano) presented improvised performances in historical styles as well as workshops on historical improvisation at the Curtis Institute of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Juilliard School of Music, and the Shepherd School of Music (Rice University).
