Doug Howell (BM ’81, composition) releases songs from his studio near Hilo, Hawai’i, including a collection of Jimmy Webb songs in 2024. The Big Island Singers performed a new arrangement of Howell’s song “Color in My Eyes” in spring 2024 and commissioned an original setting of a Percy Bysshe Shelley poem, which was performed in the fall.
