William V. Johnson (MM ’66, music education) is professor emeritus at California Polytechnic State University, a past president of the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, guest conductor, lecturer, clinician and composer. Johnson recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award (CA Band Directors Association) and Distinguished Service to Music Medal (Kappa Kappa Psi). (9/2023)
