Songs of Spring, a piano quintet by Michael Djupstrom (BM ’02, MA ’05, composition), returned to the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC, with an April 1, 2023, performance at the Kennedy Center by the 6821 Quintet. Originally commissioned by the festival in 2016, the work was previously performed in four consecutive annual festivals.
