Trombone Studio

Welcome to the University of Michigan Trombone Studio.

The University of Michigan Trombone Studio consists of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral trombone majors. Our studio has a long history of success with graduates holding major appointments in orchestras, universities, conservatories and educational institutions.

Our trombonists are also provided a variety of performance opportunities during their study. Ensemble opportunities include two bands, two orchestras, jazz ensembles, multiple chamber groups as well as the University of Michigan Trombone Ensemble.

The University of Michigan Trombone Ensemble began an ongoing video recording project in 2011. Since then, we have continued to develop a YouTube channel that features performances of trombone quartets, sextets, octets and full trombone ensemble.
