Bio
Brittany Crinson is an accomplished Wig, Hair and Makeup Artist whose work has been seen in professional theatres, on television and film, within editorial projects and in connection with major cultural centers throughout the country. She recently returned to Michigan where she was born and raised after working and living in Chicago for over a decade, beginning her career at the Lyric Opera of Chicago as a Wig and Makeup Associate. Brittany currently serves as the head of Hair and Makeup at the world-renowned Chicago-based dance company, The Joffrey Ballet.
Highlights from Brittany’s television and film work include: The Bear (Hulu); Chicago P.D. (NBC); Heist 88 (Bassett Vance Productions); 61st Street (AMC); Fargo (FX); and Hair Department head on Season Three of the hit show Somebody Somewhere (HBO Max). Other creative credits include design work for the Drury Lane Theatre, Des Moines Metro Opera and The Atlanta Opera; hairstyling and makeup for various performers at the Lyric Opera of Chicago Concert Series, including Renée Fleming and Susan Graham; hairstyling for Steve Martin and Martin Short during the Ravinia Concert Series; and hairstyling and makeup design for Jenn Gambatese on The Disney Cruise Line Concert Series and Elgin Symphony Orchestra. As a licensed cosmetologist, Brittany specializes in period haircuts. She is a proud Local 476 Member, and looks forward to designing for the University of Michigan and sharing her skills with the students of UPROD.
