As part of U-M’s MPulse summer programs for high school aged youth, the MPulse Saxophone Institute led by SMTD Professor Timothy McAllister includes courses on playing techniques, music history, working with a pianist, saxophone ensemble, and daily masterclasses. Join us for a final concert by the MPulse saxophone students as their week-long program on campus comes to a close.

Faculty perform from the MPulse Jazz Institute – an all-encompassing, week-long program for the high school jazz musician. Classes are led by University of Michigan Jazz Faculty, SMTD applied faculty and professional jazz artists. The MPulse Jazz Program is directed by SMTD Professor Dennis Wilson.
