Bio
Chuyi Zhu is a doctoral candidate in ethnomusicology with research interests spanning women’s lament, cultural tourism, and heritage studies. Graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Music, Chuyi has a wide range of academic interests. She has also earned a certificate in Business from Harvard Business School Online and another in Museum Studies from the University of Michigan.
Outside of academia, Chuyi enjoys consulting work. She has served as an in-house consultant for Maison Youlou, a French fashion company, where she played a key role in facilitating a cooperative project with the Chinese government. This project resulted in the establishment of an applied art center in Yunnan province, dedicated to preserving the traditional arts and crafts of ethnic groups in China.
In her free time, Chuyi enjoys watching movies, swimming, and passionately discussing personality psychology.
