Musicianship in Practice and Performance…
The Michigan Youth Musicianship Course (MYMC) is dedicated to enhancing musical aptitude, awareness, and performance. Collaboratively designed by faculty at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance and musicians from the Ann Arbor community, this course is an excellent supplement to the popular Advanced Placement (AP) Music Theory and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) courses, among other pre-college curricula. MYMC challenges students to implement music theory and aural skills in their practice and performance, deepening their connection to music. Students who successfully complete the four semesters of MYMC are prepared for undergraduate coursework and entrance exams.
