SMTD has a do-it-yourself live streaming system available to SMTD students, faculty, and staff. This system uses automated video encoders located in the Moore Building and Stamps Auditorium.
In Moore, the encoder is connected via internal video lines to five event venues: Britton, McIntosh, Watkins, Hankinson and the Davis Tech Studio.
Video streams from each venue to a designated page of the SMTD web site, as follows:
Betty Pease Studio Theater (note: to stream from Betty Pease, contact Sean Hoskins rather than following the procedure below)
To use this system, go to the SMTD online scheduling system and reserve one of the Streaming Kits listed there. Each kit includes a video camera with an attached, high-quality, stereo microphone, as well as a tripod and a video cable.
First-time users will receive instructions from SMTD staff on how to connect the camera and start the stream.
You may also reserve a streaming kit for video recording or other short-term projects.
If you have any questions about this new system, please contact Andrew Wollner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
