Do-It-Yourself Livestreaming
A do-it-yourself livestreaming system is available to SMTD students, faculty, and staff. This system uses streaming encoders located in the Moore Building and Stamps Auditorium.
To use this system, go to Cheqroom, choose “Log in with SSO,” log in with your U-M credentials, and reserve one of the livestreaming kits listed there. Each kit includes a video camera with an attached, high-quality, stereo microphone, as well as a tripod and a video cable.
After you reserve the kit, you will be asked to fill out the SMTD Livestream Information Form. This step informs SMTD staff of your streaming plans, so they can ensure that the streaming equipment is ready for you to use and the livestream link is included in your event’s listing on the SMTD Performances & Events calendar.
You may also reserve a streaming kit for video recording or other short-term projects.
More detailed information can be found in the Streaming Kit User Guide.
If you have any questions about this system, please contact [email protected].
