*A Note About Bios
Please help SMTD avoid unnecessarily duplicated work by communicating exactly what to edit in your bio in some fashion, especially if your bio is longer than 3 paragraphs / 300 words. A shared Google document is the recommended way to request limited updates to longer bios, because using “suggesting edits” mode can help you easily mark every change. (And/or please make [email protected] an Editor on your Google doc bio in the share settings, so we can view your history of changes.) Why?
Spotify playlists created only in the browser-based version can’t display on our profiles. Please download the Spotify app on your desktop or device and set your playlist to “public” to enable the playlist to be embedded on your profile.
When you send an entirely new bio, our web editors are forced to take extra time to either manually reproduce all italics and hyperlinks in the bio, or else try to cross-check word-for-word against your previous bio to find only what changed. Thus, an entirely new bio with no changes marked is only appropriate for bios under 300 words, or if the existing bio was substantially re-written. Thank you for your cooperation!
