U-M President Mark Schlissel announced on Monday, March 23, 2020, that all spring and summer term courses at the University of Michigan’s three campuses will be conducted remotely in alternative formats. This will also pertain to all non-curricular summer programming, including MPulse.  Please see below for a list of updated questions you may have regarding this announcement.

What will my daily schedule look like if I am accepted to an Mpulse Institute?
Daily schedules will vary by institute, but generally will be 11:00 a.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. EST, with a lunch break in the afternoon. In addition, there may be opportunities to participate in “virtual camp” experiences, including “social hours” with your fellow participants, Q&A sessions with current SMTD students, and an informational session with SMTD admissions session.

What type of technical requirements are there for the online MPulse Institutes?
In order to have the best MPulse online experience possible, we recommend the following:

  • Laptop or desktop computer with a reliable webcam and speaker (iPhone not recommended).
  • A quiet, well-lit space with room for simple movement.
  • An internet connection with a minimum 1.5 Mbps download / 800 Kbps upload speed.

When will I receive my registration forms if accepted to an MPulse institute?
Registration forms will be sent on or before June 1, 2020.
