SMTD has a do-it-yourself live streaming system available to SMTD students, faculty, and staff. This system uses automated video encoders located in the Moore Building and Stamps Auditorium.
In Moore, the encoder is connected via internal video lines to five event venues: Britton, McIntosh, Watkins, Hankinson and the Davis Tech Studio.
Video streams from each venue to a designated page of the SMTD web site, as follows:

To use this system, go to the SMTD online scheduling system and reserve one of the Streaming Kits listed there. Each kit includes a video camera with an attached, high-quality, stereo microphone, as well as a tripod and a video cable. To stream your event, you’ll simply set up the camera, turn it on, and connect it to the proper wall-mounted video input jack. The stream will start automatically at the designated time. The encoder will also record the video feed from the camera, and this recording will be made available to you within a few days of your event.
First-time users will receive a brief training and orientation session when picking up the kit.
You may also reserve a streaming kit for video recording or other short-term projects.
