Guest Recital: Hub New Music & Hannah Lash

  1. Tuesday February 11 8:00pm
Earl V. Moore Building, Britton Recital Hall

Called “contemporary chamber trailblazers” by the Boston Globe, Hub New Music — comprised of flute, clarinet, violin, and cello — is forging new pathways in 21st-century repertoire. Through creative programming and ambitious commissioning projects, the quartet celebrates the fluidity and diversity of today’s classical music landscape. Its performances have been described as “gobsmacking” (Cleveland Classical) and “innovative” (WBUR). The quartet will premiere Hannah Lash's The Nature of Breaking which has been made possible by the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program, with generous funding provided by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Chamber Music America Endowment Fund. Additional support from the Cricket Foundation and the Sally Fleming Guest Masterclass Fund.
