Rikki Morrow-Spitzer (she/her/hers) currently serves as the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program Manager for the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance. She oversees all DEI programming for SMTD, including the Diversity and Inclusion Grants, DEI Student Ambassadors, Performance Engagement Educational Residencies Program, and faculty and staff DEI professional development offerings. In 2020, Rikki led a new initiative to establish an Inclusive Teaching in the Performing Arts Pilot Program for SMTD’s Graduate Student Instructors. Rikki is a co-founder and facilitator of the Anti-Racism Discussion Group for staff at SMTD, and has previously held leadership roles with the Faculty and Staff Allies Network and the North Campus Deans’ MLK Spirit Awards. She is the co-founder and Administrative Director for the Out of the Blue Prison Outreach Choir in partnership with the Prison Creative Arts Project and the Choral Music Department at SMTD.
Rikki received her Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from SMTD and her MSW in Social Policy and Evaluation from School of Social Work at UM. She currently serves on the board for Seven Mile Music.
