Rob Murphy teaches classes in Design & Production and has almost 200 theatre, dance, and opera design credits for a wide range of professional and academic companies including designs created for the Guthrie Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum, La Jolla Play House, the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, the Court Theatre, Missouri Repertory, and New York Theatre Workshop. He served as scenic and lighting designer for Anne Bogart at Trinity Repertory and as resident lighting designer for the Missouri Repertory Theatre and Peter Sparling Dance Company. Murphy has worked with theatre directors Bartlett Sher, Michael Grief, Oscar Eustis, Robert Woodruff, Tina Landau, Charles Knewell, Molly Smith, and Bill Franzeblau. He has also worked with opera directors Kay Castaldo, Ned Canty, Tim Ocell, and Nicolette Molnár.
