Actor Daniel Cantor has performed widely in Chicago, including the Goodman Theater (Rabbit Hole, Chicago Boys, Fish Men); Court Theater (Water by the Spoonful); Victory Gardens (Jacob and Jack, Relatively Close); Chicago Shakespeare (The Comedy of Errors); Drury Lane (Boeing, Boeing); Silk Road Rising (Paulus), and Next (Return to Haifa). His Off-Broadway performances include the Promenade Theater (Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight); Minetta Lane (Tuesdays with Morrie); and Soho Playhouse (Strictly Personal). Cantor has performed in the national production of Picasso at the Lapin Agile and has appeared regionally at the American Conservatory Theater; Cincinnati Playhouse; Milwaukee Rep; Cleveland PlayHouse; Studio Theater; Hartford TheaterWorks; Shakespeare Santa Cruz; Contemporary American Theater Festival; Barrington Stage Company; Notre Dam Shakespeare Festival; Arkansas Rep; Worcester Foothills Theatre; Mill Mountain Theatre; and the National Shakespeare Company.

Cantor's TV and film work includes Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Chicago PD, Conviction, The Sopranos, As the World Turns, Loving, Asphalt Man (Korea), The Auteur Theory, and Alchemy. He has directed in New York at MSNBC, Westbeth Theater Center, StandUp NY, Solo Arts, and in Chicago at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. He has taught and directed at Northwestern University, Wesleyan University, Pace University, and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

Cantor has three times been in an artist residency at the renowned Ragdale Foundation in Lake Forest, IL, with his theater company, the UV Theater Project, where he created site-specific productions of the work of Anton Chekhov.
