William (Willy) Crowley
In addition to his MFA from U-M, William received training while on scholarship at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in NYC. He has performed with numerous dance companies, both domestically and abroad, to favorable reviews from such publications as The Detroit Free Press, The Chicago Tribune, Denver Rocky Mountain News, Miami Art Exchange, The Miami Herald, and Dance Magazine. William moved to Miami, FL in the Spring of 2000, where he accepted a three-year teaching position at the prestigious New World School of the Arts. He also served on faculty at Miami Dade College, Barry University, and the University of Miami. In March 2004, William became the founder and Artistic Director of Next Step Dance, a modern dance company based in Bay Harbor Islands, FL. He currently teaches throughout the United States and Europe, including annual summer intensives at the Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris.
