Bachelor of Music in Musicology
Designed for students who wish to teach music history; to work in radio, television or journalism; or to pursue an advanced degree at a later time. Applicants should have several years of study on a principal instrument or voice. Experience in orchestral and chamber music is desirable; piano study is recommended.
Curriculum
The Bachelor of Music in Musicology requires a minimum 120 credits: coursework is 75% within SMTD and 25% within the liberal arts. Students will elect one of the three following curricula with SMTD coursework to include:
